    Equation (1) is correct as due to work done by gravity so work done by gravity is added to initial kinetic energy...

    #lala .. the eq 1 is crrect but it sdervtn is wrng !it should be 1/2mu^2 + mgR(1-cos(theta))=1/2mv^2. .. !

    Yes sir it should be 1/2mu^2 + mgR(1-cos(theta)) =1/2mv^2 ....... because the work done is done in direction of displacement.. Sir plz.. look after this and reply soon..
